Skin Brushing Tips
Every two weeks, wash your brush bristles only with natural soap and let it dry in the sun.
Your brush is a personal care item. We do not recommend sharing. Avoid brushing irritated or infected areas of the body. Brush scalp regularly to remove dead skin and to promote hair growth, especially while slanting. If you brush facial skin use our complexion brush and be very gentle. Using soap equals decreased body oil. No oil equals no interaction with sunlight to form Vitamin D. Shower after skin brushing when possible.

As the largest eliminative organ, the skin plays a vital role in ridding the body of toxins and impurities that are a potential source of future illness. Many health practitioners recommend dry skin brushing to open the pores of the skin and to help activate the lymphatic system. When the pores are not clogged with dead cells and the lymphatic system is flowing freely, the body is able to carry out its important function of eliminating toxins and waste material via the skin (perspiration) Today people do not perspire enough and synthetic clothing can have a suffocating effect on the skin.

For this reason, skin brushing is particularly valuable in enabling the body to breathe and function properly. Dr. John R. Christopher stated that @ 50-60% of our oxygen comes through our skin! Further, it increases blood circulation in all underlying organs and tissues. As part of a detoxification or internal cleansing program, combine skin brushing with dry heat saunas. Do vigorous skin brushing before entering a sauna. Remain in sauna until you bring on a full sweat. Remember, never create stress. Take a warm shower followed by a quick cold shower. Dry off and dry skin brush again. Jump back into the sauna, and remain to the point of flowing perspiration. This is a powerful method for elimination of waste and toxins from the body. I personally repeat this process 3 times over @ 1 hour, fantastic!
Be sure to drink lots of pure water with a little raw apple cider vinegar @ 1 tsp. per pint, 2 to 3 Tblsp. of Grade C or B maple syrup and a little red pepper as you are able to tolerate. This is fantastic for removing waste-weight!
